High‑Purity Ion Exchange Resins for Demanding Fossil Power Applications

Purolite’s product group featuring A500TLOHPlus delivers a suite of high‑performance ion exchange resins engineered to meet the rigorous water‑purity demands of fossil power plants. These resins, purified to exceptional standards and built for mechanical strength - support critical systems such as makeup water treatment, condensate polishing, and stator cooling.

Within this portfolio, A500TLOHPlus exemplifies the group’s strengths: a robust strong base anion resin designed to withstand the thermal, mechanical, and chemical stresses of high‑purity polishing environments. Together, these products help power plants operate safely and efficiently by minimizing corrosion, reducing downtime, and extending service life across essential water treatment processes.

Product Data

Innovative High pH Elution Technology

The unique ligand design allows for elution at a wider range of pH (3 - 5) when compared to conventional protein A chromatography without impacting yield, purity or elution volumes.

Alkaline Stability

Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) exhibits high efficiency in removing bound proteins, nucleic acids, and lipids from bioprocess resins, alleviating the risk of fouling on heavily burdened Protein A columns. Purolite Jetted A50 HipH maintains excellent capacity after exposure to 0.1 M NaOH for 120 hours, facilitating efficient CIP and longer resin lifetime.

Dynamic Binding Capacity

The uniform jetted bead maintains high mass transfer and high capacity even at low residence times. Purolite Jetted A50 HipH shows comparable performance for polyclonal IgG capacity to Purolite Jetted A50.
