Ecolab supplies its Purolite Praesto™ line of agarose-based chromatography resins to Alvotech, which are purpose-designed for the purification of monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins. These resins are produced with a patented Jetting manufacturing technology, which shortens lead times and improves supply chain sustainability whilst improving process efficiencies.
Alvotech scientists, as with all Ecolab customers, are able to communicate directly with Ecolab R&D and Applications scientists to achieve project-specific goals. As well as facilitating more real-time innovation, this transparent communication also enabled Purolite to support Alvotech manufacturing processes and critical milestones throughout the industry-wide supply chain challenges which arose as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
