Cathy Swanson has joined the Purolite team as West Sales Manager

January 30th, 2019 - California - Purolite is proud to welcome Cathy Swanson to the Sales Team as West Sales Manager in the USA. Cathy received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University. She comes to Purolite from Fullerton, California with over 20 years of business leadership experience, and a comprehensive background in water treatment (both the technical and sales aspect).

When asked what made Purolite stand out, Cathy mentions, ”I saw Purolite as an investor in the future. Purolite is well positioned to meet future market demands, and I want to be a part of that growth.”

As West Sales Manager, Cathy will be responsible for overseeing the customers and accounts in the western territory, which includes Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. She hopes that through working at Purolite, she can educate the customer base on the use and benefits of Purolite resins, and ultimately help improve the health of the soil and water.

“Hopefully my co-workers appreciate my sense of humor…. but if not, I laugh at my own jokes,” responds Cathy when asked what her fellow employees will appreciate most about her.

Outside of work, Cathy enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. She has also been working on an MBA, which she notes has been very rewarding.

On joining Purolite, Cathy would like the team to know, “I have a strong background in groundwater remediation. I look forward to continuing my quest to heal the earth with the help of Purolite resins.”
