Purolite Welcomes Jim Zawicki to the Team

September 30th, 2019 – Philadelphia, PA, USA – Purolite is proud to welcome Jim Zawicki to the Marketing Team! Jim will assume the role of Marketing Communications Manager. In this new position, he will be responsible for website content development, social media management, and marketing collateral. He will report to Jeffrey Frain, Global Marketing Director.

Jim connected with Purolite through an online job site. He appreciated Purolite’s good reputation, value placed on employees, and that Purolite was a chemical manufacturer. “I originally joined the chemical manufacturing industry because my father was in the industry. He worked on the engineering side. I enjoy the marketing side of the industry, and was happy to find that Purolite was a chemical manufacturer,” explains Jim.

Jim comes to Purolite with a background in general marketing; experience in communications, public relations, advertising, digital marketing, tradeshows, and direct mail. Before coming to Purolite, Jim worked with Actega, a manufacturer of specialty coatings, inks, and adhesives, where he worked as Senior Marketing Manager of Labels, Rigid and Flexible packaging. He also gained experience in chemical manufacturing with Arkema, a specialty chemical company, where he worked in the Sartomer division.

Jim studied Business Administration with concentration in Marketing at the University of Delaware. He holds a certificate in Inbound marketing and has continued his education in Social Media Marketing.

When asked how he describes himself, Jim answers, “I’m a team player, collaboration with my co-workers is a big part of how I operate.” He also acknowledges that he is skilled at organization and planning, and hopes to bring these qualities to his position with Purolite.

Jim lives in West Chester, PA with his wife, and has two kids. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, entertaining guests, sports (Baseball, he’s a Phillies fan), and listening to music – smooth jazz and classic rock.
