Purolite’s Fabio Sousa invited to present at Coca-Cola Sweetener Workshop
Thursday, June 20th, 2019 – Manila, Philippines – Purolite’s Fabio Sousa, Managing Director of Latin American Operations, was invited to present at the Sweetener Workshop in Manila, Philippines hosted by The Coca-Cola Company. Coca-Cola’s Director of Ingredients, Global Quality, and Food Safety, Carlos Chapa, invited Purolite to join the conference because of Purolite’s supplier partnership with Coca-Cola.
Attending the workshop this year were many of Coca-Cola's global business segments, as well as other suppliers companies such as Lanxess, Miteco, and Seppelec. The one-week workshop focused on various technologies for processing sugar, including ion exchange and adsorbent media. Fabio’s presentation, entitiled “Sugar Treatment — Processing” highlighted how Purolite’s products are used in decolorization, taste improvement, and odor removal applications in beverage production. Fabio also introduced new application ideas to Coca-Cola, such as water demineralization to replace reverse osmosis with lower discharge rate.
Purolite was recognized by Coca-Cola for our quality products, which have shown superior performance results for sugar processing.
