July 18, 2019 – Phoenix, Arizona – Cathy Swanson, Purolite’s Groundwater Remediation Specialist, recently had the chance to present a training seminar at the American Groundwater Trust’s Workshop on PFAS & Other Emerging Contaminants in Phoenix, Arizona. The event was attended by 70 individuals including regulators, consultants, suppliers, and water utilities.
Cathy’s presentation, “Problem Assessment and Treatment Strategies,” shed light on the benefits of using Ion Exchange Resin to remove contaminants and PFAS from water sources. Ion Exchange Resin is the most effective for both long and short chain PFAS, the most economical, has the smallest footprint, and thus provides the best overall value.
“The session went well. I hope that my presentation was informative to the water purveyors seeking new and more effective technology to remove PFAS and contaminants from their water supplies. I really appreciated the great networking opportunity, and was amazed at the excellent participation from the suppliers,” Cathy reflects on the event. “These seminars provide a lot of value to anyone trying to treat PFAS contamination within their water district. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in a seminar with such an esteemed group. Thank you AGWT for inviting me to participate in your training workshop, I look forward to speaking at your upcoming seminar in Albuquerque, New Mexico as well!”
