From July 22 to 23, 2021, Purolite attended the 6th Bisphenol A and Polycarbonate Value Chain Forum in Xiamen, Fujian Province, P.R. China.

China is an important driver of global polycarbonate demand growth, and its consumption has increased rapidly in recent years. From 2010 to 2020, the compound annual growth rate of polycarbonate consumption in China was 8%. In 2020, the apparent consumption was 2.5 million tons, an increase of 12.6% over 2019.

Purolite’s North Regional Sales Manager Zhenhua Shen, Southeast Regional Sales Manager Yu Li, Technical Sales Manager Yuan Fang, Asia Pacific Technical Service Manager Yi Huang and Engineer of Production Yaming Yang attended the forum. Purolite's technical sales team is the largest and most knowledgeable in the industry. 

The forum primarily focused on the current supply and demand of bisphenol A and polycarbonate, prospect analysis and the industry forecast. As a special bonus, forum participants were able to visit the Gulei Economic Development Zone.

The use of alternative raw materials and renewable energy will lead polycarbonate to the future of sustainable development.
