Purolite Exhibits as a Gold Sponsor at the International Water Conference 2019
Purolite was proud to be a gold sponsor at the 2019 International Water Conference (IWC) that took place at the Hilton Lake Buena Vista Resort in Sunny Orlando, Florida November 10-14. The conference, hosted by the Engineer’s Society of Western Pennsylvania, was a place for researchers, practicing engineers, managers, educators, suppliers and contractors to gather and discuss relevant topics in water treatment technology. Purolite sent a full team of 10 Technical Sales Representatives and Marketing professionals to engage the conference attendees during exhibit hours.
The conference’s exhibits ran from Sunday November 10th to Tuesday, November 12th with over 90 exhibitors both indoors and out.
To help celebrate the 80th Anniversary of IWC, Purolite attended a special Anniversary Dinner at the Wyndham Hotel and Resort in Lake Buena Vista, just across the street from the convention center. Dinner was served alongside the “Bring the Funny” Improv group as entertainment.
Purolite employees also participated in the conference through discussion papers and presentations. Canadian Technical Sales Specialist, Mike Weatherill, presented a discussion paper to Dustin Mobley and Mike Preston’s technical session, “An Introduction to Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances and Treatment” and Don Downey presented a discussion paper to Simon Dukes, Benjamin Satterfield, and George Gu Ph.D.’s, “Monovalent Cation Selective Electrodialysis Ion Exchange Membrane” technical session.
On Tuesday November 12th, Mike Weatherill and Groundwater Remediation Expert, Cathy Swanson, gave a presentation at the conference’s H20 Theater “Practical Solutions of IX Resin for PFAS Removal,” giving a broad overview of the PFAS problem and going into detail about how Purolite’s PFAS-Selective ion exchange resin can remove it from water.
