May 16, 2019 – Tokyo, Japan – Purolite is excited to welcome Jun Sakyo, Technical Sales Specialist, to the Sales team in Purolite Japan. Jun comes to Purolite with significant experience in organic synthetic chemistry, chemical production, and engineering. In his new position, he will report to Fumio Tayasu, General Manager of Purolite Japan.
Jun was connected with Purolite through JAC recruitment in Japan. “When looking for a new position, I prioritize familiarity. I want a smaller office environment where I can use my previous job experience to improve my career, and benefit the company. I also pay attention to a company’s morals and goals; I see my position at Purolite as an outlet to positively benefit society, industry, and the Purolite company,” Jun asserts. “I hope that my fellow employees will appreciate my contributions to the expansion of our domestic market share of ion exchange resin for water treatment. I also look forward to assisting in special applications and utilizing my experience in equipment and engineering,” he continues.
Jun attended Toho University in Chiba, Japan, where he studied Organic Synthetic Chemistry in the Faculty of Science. He specializes in production of chemicals, foods, and paper. He also is greatly experienced in corporate sales to factories and research centers. He is a qualified Pollution Control Manager and Hazardous Materials officer. He is also certified to drive a forklift —" just a little” — he adds. At his previous job with Mitsubishi Chemical Aqua Solutions, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical, he became familiarized with manufacturing chemical and water treatment equipment, and emphasizes that he is excited to apply these skills to his position at Purolite.
Jun comes to Purolite from Akabane, Kita-tu, Tokyo, an area known for its taverns and a National Training Center for Athletes. His favorite things to do in the area are visit local restaurants, especially noodle shops and local taverns. He also enjoys Basketball (he has won in-house tournaments,) baseball, football, and horse racing. Jun is a movie fan; some of his favorites include Sister Act, Terminator, Spiderman and The Matrix. Jun’s motivation comes from his family, he lives with his wife, 10-year-old son, and 7-year-old daughter.
On his new position, Jun would like us to know, “I look forward to applying my experience in water treatment, manufacturing, and chemistry to help achieve Purolite’s goals, and improve my career.”
