Weak Acid Cation Exchange Resin

Purolite manufactures Weak Acid Cation (WAC) ion exchange resins in three different forms:  Porous, Macroporous, and Powder.  They are primarily used in water softening or dealkalization, but also can be used pharmaceutical applications. 

All weak acid cation resin products have a polyacrylic backbone.  The functional carboxylic groups give high chemical efficiency (regeneration) in many applications.

Weakly acidic cation ion exchange resins are increasingly being used in special applications including treatment of waste water streams in order to reduce environmental pollution.
