Job Purpose

The purpose of this job is to ensure the safe loading and offloading of vehicles, preparation of orders for loading and storage of products.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receipt and despatch of goods.
  • Offload goods from incoming vehicles,
  •  Perform quantity-quality checks,
  • Receipt final stock into the warehouse,
  • Select and pack orders to be despatched to customers in line with the customer requirements,
  • Load goods onto vehicles for despatch of orders.
  • To keep accurate stock levels and complete regular stock checks,
  • Responsible for general warehousing duties: ensure that the area is clean, hygienic and orderly,
  • Liaising with production departments to maintain raw material & packaging stock levels
  • Work within all site in line with the Health & Safety regulations,
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
  • Transfer goods on our stock management system (NHBA)

Specific Requirements

  • Must hold a forklift truck licence – preferably for counterbalance and narrow aisle truck.
  • The work will require an amount of manual handling.

The Successful Candidate will be able to demonstrate

  • The ability to work as part of a team,
  • Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace,
  • Numeracy and literacy skills,
  • Intermediate computer skills,
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment would be an advantage,
  • Self-motivated, able to take initiative and work independently, and CAN DO attitude.
