Lifetech ECR8304M is a hydrophilic, low porosity, methacrylate polymer functionalized with amino groups on a short spacer (C2). It is used for covalent enzyme immobilization by pre-activation of the resin with glutaraldehyde to form very stable linkages. It can also be used for enzyme immobilization by ionic interaction. Lifetech ECR8304M is optimized for batch reactor and column processes.
 

Principal Applications

  • Covalent immobilization of enzymes (requires resin pre-activation with glutaraldehyde)
  • Can be used also for direct ionic enzyme immobilization
  • Ionic immobilization requires pH adjustment (resin is supplied at neutral pH)
