Lifetech ECR8285 is a methacrylate polymer functionalised with both butyl and epoxy groups. This combination creates a good balance of hydrophobicity that makes the polymer optimal for immobilization of hydrophobic enzymes like lipases and transaminases.  Epoxides form very stable covalent linkages with different protein groups (amino, thiol, phenolic) under very mild experimental conditions of pH and temperature. Lifetech ECR8285 main features are the process advtantages deriving from hydrophobic property combined with epoxy groups allowing the use in bi-phasic systems.
