CalB immo Plus Food Grade was jointly developed and is co-marketed by c-LEcta and Purolite The product is supplied in food-grade quality and conforms to the General Specifications and Considerations for Enzyme Preparations Used in Food Processing of the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA). Immobilized, recombinant Lipase B from Candida antarctica (CalB) produced by microbial fermentation with Pichia pastoris.

CalB immo Plus Food Grade is suitable for applications in organic solvents as well as a solvent-free systems and can be used for (regio- and stereoselective) esterifications and transesterifications. The lipase is immobilized by adsorption on the highly hydrophobic carrier Purolite ECR1030M (a DVB/methacrylate co-polymer).
CalB Immo Plus has many advantages compared to similar commercial preparations:
