We are pleased to announce that following a competitive bidding process run by Innovate UK, Purolite has successfully secured funding to support a project exploiting Purolite ECR resins and immobilized enzymes.

In partnership with Unilever and the University of Edinburgh, the project will research opportunities to utilise sustainably sourced green alternative biosurfactants for use in laundry detergent formulations. With natural resources such as petrochemicals in limited supply, sustainability is increasingly important for consumers.

Lead by the applications team of Biocatalysis in the UK, this project aims to address that need, and create the foundation for a long-term partnership between Purolite and Unilever.

The project will commence on the 19th February 2019.
