Congratulations to Antonio, Felix, and Ray, Purolite's Employees of the Month, January 2020!

January 15, 2020 – Philadelphia, PA, USA – Purolite is happy to announce January’s Employees of the Month, Felix Rivera, First Equipment Operator; Ray Mattson, Maintenance; and Antonio Delgado, First Equipment Operator. The team of three were nominated by Ted Begg, East Coast Sales Director, and Darrell Shaffer, Technical Sales Director.

Ted and Darrell highlighted Felix, Ray and Antonio’s efforts in a 1,700 cubic foot installation of Purolite’s product into a Municipal Water Authority Facility in Aliquippa. The team was ready on-site at the early hour of 6:45 AM, in sub-zero temperatures. When the first tanker arrived a half hour later, operators were surprised to find that the resin transport lines were frozen solid! Fortunately, Felix, Ray, and Antonio had come prepared with a propane torch to thaw the lines. The first transfer was successfully completed by 8:30 AM. The team then completed a second transfer, and left the area clean and clear of any debris.

“The customer could not be more satisfied with their professionalism, willingness to do whatever it takes and the smoothness of the installation process in sub-freezing temperatures. It was evidence that these men, each with over 15 years of experience at Purolite, were the right crew selected for the job!” Darrell shared in the nomination.

Felix has been with Purolite for 20 years. He started here while searching for a new position. At work, He is proud of his time milestone at Purolite. “I learn a lot of cool and new applications when I help with tanker deliveries and field work,” he shares. Outside of work, Felix enjoys working out and spending time with his family.

Antonio joined Purolite after hearing about the position from a friend. He has been with Purolite for 28 years. When asked what makes him stay, he shares, “The people! I’ve worked with Felix, Ray, and many others for a long time, and they make the days go by quicker.”

Antonio is proud of the effort he puts into his work. On a personal note, he enjoys spending time with his family and grandkids.

Ray was recruited to join the maintenance team 15 years ago. He values the camaraderie that he shares with his co-workers at the plant. When not working, Ray enjoys spending time with his family, and volunteering as a fireman. “I’m proud of my service as a volunteer fireman, and most importantly, I am proud of my family and the time I get to spend with my kids,” Ray explains.

“I’ve watched all three of these guys take pride in their work, prepare for any and all complications with a transfer, do a quick and clean job, and reflect Purolite’s values accurately to our customers. It is clear they are motivated and want to do a good job when completing a task. It is a pleasure to work with them. They are always professional and comply with all procedures and safety requirements of the customer,” shares Sal Briscella, Operations Manager.

“When Felix, Antonio, and Ray go to perform a transfer or other field service, I am always amazed by the cooperation, thoroughness of work, and attention to organization that they put into each part of the job. It is clear that they are dedicated to the company, and reflect the values of Purolite,” praises Ted Begg.

“The guys went above and beyond the call of duty for this installation, as they do with all of their work,” adds Darrell.

“It’s just about getting the job done, whatever it may be,” Antonio, Felix, and Ray all agreed.
