In Memory of Edward Belsten

Purolite celebrates the life of our friend and colleague, Edward Belsten, who passed away last week. Edward began his Purolite career in 1985 and spent 26 years with the company. He was part of the team, together with Edo Perris, that started Purolite's Italian operations in 1985. He most recently served as Technical Director of the Italian office. Edward provided technical service to customers all over the world, conducted internal sales training and supported R&D, manufacturing, quality control and marketing departments.

Although he concluded his work with Purolite a decade ago, Edward remains in the hearts and in the memories of many customers and colleagues. Edward is noted as being a great teacher and friend, yet humble. He authored a troubleshooting demineralization plant presentation that is still used to this day.

Former co-worker and Technical Service Manager, Mauro Gandola, posted that Edward was "one of the world's most important ion exchange specialists."  Purolite Executive Vice President | Owner | Founder, Don Brodie, added that Edward "was one of the technologists who helped to establish Purolite and make it into what it is today. May he rest in peace."
