Jacob Brodie, Global Vice President, President - Americas Division
As the second generation of the Brodie family to lead Purolite Corporation, Jacob grew up in the business, working at the headquarters and the Philadelphia factory during school breaks. Once he graduated from college in 1992, he came to work full time.
Jacob started his career at Purolite by training at Purolite’s United Kingdom factory to learn the business in each discipline to include manufacturing, shipping, raw materials, waste treatment, accounting, sales, quality control, research and development. After working in the UK and Philadelphia factories to gain a solid foundation of operations, he took on the plant manager position in Romania. During Jacob’s work in Romania, he was instrumental in the construction of Purolite’s new factory.
Jacob went on to develop the sales and marketing infrastructure in the Far East and Latin America. He worked to open offices in Japan, Korea, Brazil, Mexico, Malaysia and built distribution centers throughout Asia.
In 2004, Jacob assumed his current position as vice president, where he oversees all business for the Americas, global marketing, information technologies and special projects. He led the 2012 rebranding and modernized Purolite corporate systems for sales, operations and finance.
Jacob was the driving force behind the development of the new corporate headquarters. He worked to ensure that it would accommodate the organization's growth and reflected Purolite's product innovation and collaborative spirit; the move completed in 2019.
Jacob received his bachelor’s degree in Business from Washington University and resides in the Philadelphia, PA region in the USA, with his wife, two children.
