Purolite Welcomes Mark Protheroe-Thomas

Purolite is pleased to welcome Mark Protheroe-Thomas in the capacity of Agarose Operations Director. He will report to Chris Major, General Manager - Healthcare and Life Sciences Agarose, and will be responsible for all aspects of agarose operations in Wales. Mark connected with Purolite through an online job site. 

Mark will be focusing on profit and loss, planning/scheduling, customer delivery, process optimization and improvement, cycle time reduction and key performance indicators execution to develop a stable operation. Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Engineering, and Shipping departments will report to him. 

He is an experienced leader with decades of experience at British Airways as an aircraft engine engineer and General Electric, running large multi-functional international teams (700+) covering the aviation, energy, oil and gas sectors. He is a qualified mechanical & manufacturing engineer and a Six Sigma black belt. Mark has a Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering B.Eng. degree from the University of South Wales.
