Howard Brodie, Vice President, General Counsel
After gaining more than 25 years of critical experience practicing corporate law and complex commercial transactions for high-growth technology companies, Howard returned to his family business to lead the legal department.
Upon graduating from Yale Law School, Howard clerked for the Sixth Circuit's chief judge and then practiced commercial law, corporate finance and M&A at White & Case LLP.
Howard served as general counsel at Emcore Corporation and created the company’s first legal department. Howard gained additional experience within the power industry as executive vice president and chief legal officer at Empower Energies.
As a front-line, hands-on attorney who works closely with every functional group, Howard takes a holistic approach to business and law. Throughout his career, he has negotiated and concluded commercial agreements with leading companies in virtually every industry, including specialty chemicals, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, energy and semiconductors. Howard also has extensive experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and creating and implementing intellectual property strategies to protect new technologies and products.
Howard resides in the Philadelphia, PA region in the United States. He has two daughters. In addition to his J.D. degree, Howard earned a B.A. degree from Duke University where he graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Howard is a member of the New York Bar, Pennsylvania Bar and has been a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel since 2000.
