Americas Sales Team Holds Summer Meeting in Hilton Head

Purolite's Americas sales team held its summer meeting from June 24 – 27 at the Omni Resort in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Sales representatives from all Americas regions, marketing, technical applications, and operations were in attendance for strategy review and training on products and applications.

Allan Gray, Allison Neves, Chase Migliore, Jord Yniguez and Meg Sundell were new attendees for the mid-year meeting and this was the first chance they had to meet all of their regional colleagues in person.

Thirteen employees flew in early to spend their Sunday golfing on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course just a short distance away from the resort hotel. The sun was brightly shining down on the beautiful course making for a hot and humid day. Four teams played through the 18-hole course before relaxing at the resort pool and cleaning up for dinner by the beach.

By Monday and Tuesday everyone was ready to get down to business. Monday morning started early with a welcome and introduction by Jacob Brodie, Vice President of Sales for the Americas region, who discussed the state of the global ion exchange resin industry and market, as well as the meeting agenda.

Monday's meeting also included a review of marketing initiatives, training for the CRM system, and a special in-depth training on nuclear water chemistry from Joe Bates of ChemStaff.

On Tuesday, Francis Boodoo, Director of Applied Technologies, reviewed current market, regulatory and  technical data on PFAS contamination removal and detailed how our team can help municipal water authorities, military bases and private industries get levels of this chemical down to zero detect.

Afterwards, the team learned about the latest products and applications from Purolite Life Sciences as presented by Fred Ghanem, North American Business Manager. Additionally, training on advanced mixed-bed troubleshooting techniques were reviewed by Technical Specialist Sean Kennedy.

On the final night of the meeting dinner was held in a private beachfront pavilion. The scenery and weather were picturesque and the meeting couldn't have ended on a more beautiful and joyful note. Everyone left the meeting focused and even better positioned to offer customers the best service and support in the industry for the second half of the year.

The next Americas meeting is set to take place in Dallas, Texas this November.
