Purolite's CPR Training

Purolite employees at our G-street manufacturing plant spent the morning learning and reviewing proper safety procedures when it comes to administrating emergency first-aid, CPR, and using the defibrillators (AEDs). The training was conducted by Bruce Esher of UniFirst First Aid and Safety. Bruce reviewed and demonstrated best practices when it comes to giving CPR and first aid in various emergencies as well as proper usage of the AEDs. The six employees who attended the training watched videos of different scenarios and were given the opportunity to practice their new CPR skills on a mannequin. The training concluded with lunch and employees receiving their certification cards.

Twice a year, Carlos Socorro, Environmental Health and Safety Manager, arranges a class for employees who voluntarily sign up to be trained and certified in CPR, first aid, and usage of the AEDs. The certification lasts two years and provides the employees the skills and knowledge to perform CPR and first aid in a manufacturing and industrial settings as well as outside of the workplace. It is crucial and an asset to have as many responders available as possible, at any given time.

Purolite would like to extend a special thank you to Carlos Socorro for being proactive and keeping our plant safe by arranging these types of training!
