Purolite employees vie for title of cornhole champion

Over the course of two weeks, employees at the Purolite headquarters in Bala Cynwyd and the plant at G-Street in Philadelphia competed in a cornhole tournament to bring home the trophy and declare victory over the other.

The first week of the competition focused on selecting the winner at each location. The second place winners for G-Street and Bala Cynwyd were Pros + Joes and Bala Diva's respectively. A total of 17 teams from G-Street and 8 teams from Bala Cynwyd participated until the final two, Bala Bashers and Lead Time Kings, remained.

The Bala Bashers, made up of team members Jack Dolan and Carolyn Soccio, played a hard game against Lead Time Kings' Chris Dahme and Warner Jarnagin. In the end, the Bala Bashers took the trophy and claimed a win for Bala Cynwyd for the first time ever. Carolyn admitted it was a close call but couldn't hold back her excitement, "they played a hard game, but we wanted this win too much to let it slip through the hole!"

Both locations celebrated the end of the tournament with a luncheon. Congratulations to the Bala Bashers and great job to all who participated!
