American Water Works Association meets in Las Vegas for Annual Convention & Expo

The annual meeting of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) took place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada from June 11-14, 2018. This meeting is the premier event for leaders in the water industry to come together and discuss the challenges ahead of them and explore solutions through innovative technology.

Purolite was invited to speak with host Todd Schnick of Water Online Radio to discuss the company's contribution to the municpal water industry. West Coast Sales Representative, Grant King, gave listeners a brief lesson on ion exchange resins, Purolite's technology to remove harmful contaminants from potable water. During the removal process, resins exhange either chloride or sodium ions with the contaminant in question such as nitrates, uranium, arsencis, etc. In contrast, Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) uses an adsorption method to remove contaminants. Purolite looks forward to attending the event next year in Denver!
