A tour of the convention floor teaches students about today's water treatment technologies

A group of students from the University of Texas, San Antonio toured the exhibitors' hall at the International Water Convention held at the Marriott San Antonio Rivercenter. On their way through the hall, they stopped by Purolite's booth for a mini course in ion exchange technology given by Tony Navarrete of GE Power and Water and Purolite's Chris Friesen. It was great to meet the future of our industry. The university students were excited to learn about the science of ion exchange as well as the different types of positions available by companies who develop, manufacture, commercialize and distribute the products. They were eager to meet Purolite's sales, engineering and marketing team, and asked a lot of probing questions about the current and future state of the industry, new technology advances, and what it's like to work in a scientific field.
