Our commitment to environmental responsibility is firmly embodied within all of the company’s product lines. These products are specifically developed to remove contaminants, purify waste water, and improve the chemical processes of our customers for numerous applications and industries. Many products are designed to provide a positive environmental impact as a result of the high efficiency of contaminant removal and reduction of waste material in industrial process streams for our customers. Purolite is fully committed to environmental awareness in regards to the manufacturing of its products and business operations.

It is Purolite’s policy to provide a long-term sustainable business operation that uses resources efficiently to eliminate or minimize any adverse environmental impact to our surrounding communities or global ecosystem. We will continue to invest in our business to provide innovative solutions that are socially responsible for our global customers. These principles are applied from the design stage, follow through to the manufacturing process in our production plants and continue through the end-use life cycle at our customer’s facilities. Our objective at Purolite is to make continual improvements in reducing waste while developing and manufacturing products that provide value to our customers and have a positive impact on the global environment. In order to achieve these environmentally responsible objectives, we will strive to:

• Meet or exceed all environmental laws and regulations at all Purolite facilities. We will continuously improve our production processes to use resources in the most efficient manner possible.

• Actively work with our customers to provide guidance and support so that the use of our products     minimizes any environmental impact at their facilities.

• Continue the development of new ion exchange resin technology that provides economic benefits to our customers, better performance, and reduces the use of natural resources and waste products.

 

• Deliver our products in a manner that minimizes packaging waste. We re-use and recycle packaging materials whenever possible and encourage this practice with our customers, suppliers and vendors.

• Reduce greenhouse gas emissions from all our facilities and reduce energy consumption associated with the transport of incoming raw materials and the delivery of finished goods to our customers.

• Minimize waste and pollution at our manufacturing facilities to ensure they operate as efficiently as possible while reducing any adverse environmental impact.

• Inform and train our employees to perform their duties with regards to the successful implementation of the company’s environmental policy.

• Continually monitor and improve all aspects of our global operations in a continuous effort to make environmental responsibility and sustainability a core value within Purolite.
