Corn and Wheat derived Sweeteners include:

The production of sweeteners from either corn or wheat feedstocks utilizes Purolite® ion exchange resins in various processes. These include:

  • Deashing/demineralisation of various syrups.
  • Decolourisation and deodorisation of high performing sweetening products.
  • Taste removal to prevent tainting of end use products.
  • Chromatographic separation of mixtures to provide purer raw materials prior to further downstream processing.

Each process is a discreet challenge and each requires ion exchange resins and adsorbents of differing attributes.
